BEEF STIRFRY – Sibling Power – Saskia (15) and Thomas (13)


  • 500g beef strips
  • 1 tsp of finely chopped garlic, ginger and chilli
  • 1 onion, peeled and sliced
  • 1 of each green, red and yellow peppers, deseeded and sliced into strips
  • 2 medium carrots, peeled and julienned/thinly sliced
  • 75g baby corn
  • 3 zucchini, washed and sliced into strips
  • 1 punnet mushrooms, wiped and sliced
  • 75g mange tout pea pods
  • 1 punnet bok choi, washed and separated
  • 100ml soya sauce
  • 2 Tbs sesame oil
  • 100ml stir fry sauce
  • olive oil
  • handful of cashew nuts_mg_0787
  • handful of peanuts
  • 1 bunch fresh coriander
  • 3 nests of Asian style noodles
  • 2 Tbsp sesame seeds.


  1. Marinade the beef in half the soya sauce and sesame oil
  2. Soak the noodles in boiling water to soften.
  3. Heat oil in a wok and fry in the below order, adding each ingredient after a minute or so of frying the previous one
    • Garlic, ginger and chilli
    • Beef strips
    • Onions, peppers and carrots
    • Corn, zucchini, mushrooms and mange tout_mg_0772
    • Bok choi
  4. Take care not to overcook the vegetables. You want them to still have some crispness
  5. Add the remaining soya sauce and stir-fry sauce
  6. Add the nuts and toss to distribute evenly
  7. Stir in the drained noodles and finish with coriander and sesame seeds
  8. Plate and serve.
